I did the Option F9 thing and it worked thankyou.
Now I searched and searched all over for my answer before posting here, so
how should I figure this out in the future, as the Help in Word was not.
Could anyone reccommend a good technically orientated book, that tells you
this kind of stuff?
rtt
I thank every one so far on this.

Richard,
Have a look at some of my recommendations on sources of information on pages
22-26 of some notes on the way I use Word for the Mac, titled "Bend Word to
Your Will", which are available as a free download from the Word MVPs'
website (http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/Bend/BendWord.htm).
[Note: "Bend Word to your will" is designed to be used electronically and
most subjects are self-contained dictionary-style entries. Be sure to read
the front end so you can use the document to best advantage and select the
right settings for reading it.]
Also see:
Word Annoyances by Guy Hart-Davis, O'Reilly, $19.95 US
(http://annoyances.oreilly.com) -- haven't read it but all others in this
series have been good.
Office 2004 for Macintosh: The Missing Manual, by Mark Holt Walker,
Franklin Tessler, Paul Berkowitz. ISBN: 0-596-00820-1. 752 pages, $29.95 US.
Macworld Microsoft Office [year] Bible, Bob LeVitus and Dennis R. Cohen,
Hungry Minds Inc., is a good reference book if you want to go beyond the
"quick guide" level.
For in-depth information on Word, though, I usually buy PC versions, because
there isn't a big enough Mac market to justify separate books on Word as
distinct from Office. An example is Word 2003 Bible, Brent Heslop, David
Angell and Peter Klent, Wiley Publishing. The Que series are also very good.

But you've found the best source already!

* A SUGGESTION -- WAIT FOR CONSIDERED ADVICE: If you post a question, keep
re-visiting the newsgroup for several days after the first response comes
in. Sometimes it takes a few responses before the best or complete solution
is proposed; sometimes you'll be asked for further information so that a
better answer can be provided. Good tips about getting the best out of
posting are at http://word.mvps.org/FindHelp/Posting.htm (if you use Safari
you may see a blank page and have to hit the circular arrow icon -- "Reload
the current page" -- a few times).

Actually, it is in Help, but buried deeply amidst the material pertaining to
the use of Fields. Unless one knows that's what their dealing with it is
virtually impossible to find.
Take a look at the recommendations from Clive. Most are available in
libraries, so you might want to look them over before you actually buy. Each
has a 'style' more preferable to some users than others.
