I have been sucessfully running Word x on my iMac. I just bought a new
iBook and the EULA states that you may use word on a portable device
also if the primary user is the same. But, when I tried to run it on my
iBook, I got an error message saying- this product is already licsenced
to "your name" and will close now. So now I am on office test drive for
30 days, but I really need to figure it out before time is up. Thanks!
The license allows you to install it on a desktop and a laptop, but it is
still limited to the use of a single person at all times. Which means that
if the laptop and desktop are networked, Office cannot be open on both at
the same time. You need to quit any Office programs on the one before
launching any on the other.

I think it's that you need to quit any Office *application* before launching
it on the other computer. In other words, you could have Word open on the
desktop and Excel on the laptop at the same time. I'm not positive about
this.
