I have two problems with Word 2004 on my PowerBook running under Tiger

First it seems to take a very long tiome to boot up Word.
I suspect in the process of upgrading 20 2004 from Ov=ffice X and
Office 1998? that I have some duoicate files or file iin the worng
place.

Any suggestions on whqt to look for. Or should I justgive up and try
and reloa afdrom scratchy

Second I have had a number of crashes of Word  (Word not responding
when I try to quit)
I am not sure of the oattern. It seems to happen whne I am trying to do
a back up with La Cie Silverkeeper

There may be a common theme to bothy of these problems

Any suggestions of where to look?

Hi Don,

You're probably right about the cause.  I suggest you remove all versions of
Office using the Office removal tool and then reinstall Office 2004 and its
updates.  You'll find full instructions here:
<http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/RemoveReinstall.htm>
(If using Safari, hit Refresh once or twice; better yet, use another
browser.)
