MS Word 2004
Re: Find/Replace, it is a quick, efficient keyboard process after
highlighting a string to be copied to hold the Command key while
pressing C, F then V. When I then want to enter the "replace" string,
my hands have to leave the keyboard, go to the mouse and click the
Replace tab before I can continue. I cannot find any reference that
offers a keyboard short to drop down the Replace window. Is there one?
Thank you.

I'm not sure if there is a direct keyboard shortcut for the Replace
command, but once you've brought up the Find dialogue, you can simply
hit Ctrl+Tab to switch to the Replace tab. Hitting Ctrl-Tab a second
time moves the focus to the Go To tab.

If you use Shift+Command+H (rather than Command+F) you'll open the F&R
dialog directly to the Replace page. Although it does involve a slight
modification to your current process it might be more efficient than waiting
until the dialog is open then trying to switch pages.
You also have the option of assigning/reassigning a different keystroke to
the EditReplace command if you'd prefer.

Two excellent suggestions, both of which serve my need fully.
My sincere thanks to you both. I have learned two more gems about Word
and expedited my work as well
Bravi!
