Hello all,
I can't believe Office 2008 isn't provided with a Yellow college-lined notebook paper template.
There are many of them for Office 2007, even for word 2003 but aren't easy to import in office 08.
John McGhie - 30 Jul 2009 12:11 GMT And *I* can't believe it doesn't have an ash-tray, or a connection for an iPod, or a bottle of correcting fluid to white out those mistaykes on the screen...
Given that you are about to graduate from college, I have every confidence that you will figure out how to make your own templates in about three minutes...
Hint: Who said you couldn't use the template from Windows Word?
Cheers

Phillip Jones, C.E.T. - 30 Jul 2009 13:40 GMT Lot of car now a day don't come with an Ash Tray. They usually have a plugin between the seats or under the seat for plugging in chargers.

flyingtoad@officeformac.com - 30 Jul 2009 17:34 GMT Well John, I think you're rude.
All I've wanted to say, is that I would have liked this template already implemented, and that is all.
CyberTaz - 30 Jul 2009 19:37 GMT Well, I don't know how you quantify "many" but I searched the MS Office Templates site using the terms "yellow ruled" & "yellow lined". There were 100 hits but even if you count the one that is called "Yellow college-lined notebook paper" (but requires OneNote) plus the one that is actually "Yellow [legal] pad" it totals [calculating here...] 2 that even remotely fit the description. To give one a try see...

BTW: Perhaps no "yellow" but have you familiarized yourself with Notebook Layout (exclusive to Mac Word 2008)?

This looked interesting, so I tried to download and use a couple of templates, and the whole process went very smoothly. It's nice to know that templates can be added, and I hadn't realized that before. :)

John McGhie - 31 Jul 2009 12:43 GMT Yeah, apparently you did.
So you then dobbed me in to Microsoft.
TWICE.
So lets see now: you are attempting to cause pain and harm to someone who is trying to help other users in here. Someone who gives their time, for no reward, to try to offer the benefit of the knowledge I have spent the past 40 years gaining in professional practice. And I offer it to everyone for free.
You, on the other hand, run off behind my back and tell the teacher.
What did you imagine Microsoft would do? Dock my wages? Sack me? There are no wages: and I don't work for Microsoft. I am just a user of their software, which I have to buy, just like you do.
We had a name for people like you in school. That was 50 years ago, maybe the world has changed. But such people tended not to have many friends while they were at school, and none of them managed to get a decent job when they left school.
Of course, in my day, that didn't matter so much. You could simply emigrate to a different country where nobody knew you, and eventually, you might have a chance at a decent job.
But what you just did is on the Internet. And it will be, for the rest of your life.
I wonder if this could be considered a Pyrrhic Victory? :-)
