Just upgraded(?) to Office 2008 and I can't expand my master documents. In Word 2004 I could click on view and then select master document which worked well for revising and indexing books but I can't figure out how to do it in 2008. If the master document view is gone does that mean that 1000 page documents will work in 2008? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Don't panic :-)

Master Document View was [and still is] really just a variation on Outline
View which activated the Master Documents toolbar automatically. Master &
Outline views are simply no longer listed as separate views. Switch to
Outline View where you should find everything you're looking for if you
click the last button on the right end of the Outlining toolbar.

Thank you very much. I did find it right where you said then had to fiddle around a little until the toolbar to expand documents showed up but all is good now.
