Mac Forum / Applications / Word / May 2008MS Word 2004 painfully slow
Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC I just installed Tiger and am now having problems with OFfice 2004 on G4. Scrolling is a problem, waiting for printer page to show image of page and generally much slower to work with. Won't highlight text... etc. Any suggestions? Since you don't mention anything other than having installed 10.4 it suggests that you haven't yet updated your Tiger installation (current build of the OS is 10.4.11). There's also no indication of what your Office level might be (11.4.2 is current there). Once the updating is done & permissions have been repaired, restart your Mac & see if there is any improvement. If not, reply with all necessary information including your Mac's specs & whether you ever had any prior versions of Office installed on that unit (including the 2004 Test Drive).
