Since you don't mention anything other than having installed 10.4 it
suggests that you haven't yet updated your Tiger installation (current build
of the OS is 10.4.11). There's also no indication of what your Office level
might be (11.4.2 is current there). Once the updating is done & permissions
have been repaired, restart your Mac & see if there is any improvement.
If not, reply with all necessary information including your Mac's specs &
whether you ever had any prior versions of Office installed on that unit
(including the 2004 Test Drive).
