Help -- I can no longer use the bullet and indent functions on Word without
bulleting, numbering the whole document. If I use the bullet function and the
whole document goes bulleted then hit Apple+Z the bit I want bulleted is
bulleted and the rest is as it was, but it's a very long-winded way to format
a document. I'm assuming it's a bug rather than a virus. I've installed the
11.4.2 Update but it's not solved the problem.

Does anybody have any ideas? I have the same problem with numbering and
indenting, undenting

Not a built-in bug but a misapplied setting.

With the cursor in a problematic word, click on Format | Style. Click
Modify. UNCHECK automatically update, and CHECK add to template. OK
everything and exit back to document. If the problem occurs in other
documents, repeat the same procedure.

The problem is that a style is set to automatically update. It is
possible, depending on how the resume is formatted, that you will need
to repeat this procedure for more than one style in the same document.
Full explanation (written for WinWord) here:

(hit refresh a few times if using safari)

Thanks I'll try it.  Sounds easy.
