Well I usually get a warning telling me that the codec isn't supported
(or that the file has unsupported DRM). I don't remember seing anything
telling me the fileis corrupted in this specific context.

:-) You could use the Flip4Mac codecs for QT. They are still far from
perfection, but they somehow work...
