I haven't been able to install wmp 9 after downloading it after I just installed OS 10.4 Tiger. Sadly, you have to install Stuffit Expander http://www.stuffit.com to open the WindowsMedia installer. What is bad about this is how Stuffit forces you to install a 15MB "trial" version of their standard software, just to get the basic Expander. WMP is NOT being developed by the MacBU at Microsoft. I suspect it's being taken care of by some of the WMP developers. If the MacBU was in charge, I'm quite sure we wouldn't have had all these problems for so long. Microsoft should switch to disk images or zip archives for distributing Mac software |
