Mac Forum / Applications / Media Player / April 2005Player freezes after a couple of seconds
HI, got windows media player 9 on an 2 x 2 Ghz power mac with an Geforce 6800 Dll grafics card. On progressive downloads with wmv-files the player freezes after a while and stops to play. even if I download the file and open it from the desktop the damn thing freezes!? It could be an issue with the speed at which the server communicates with WMP on the Mac for the streaming. I also experience the same thing rather often. I suspect the base of the problem is a nasty bug in the support of the appropriate bitrate in WMP for the actual speed of your connection.
