Is there a way to delete recently viewed files to prevent them from showing
up under the FILE menu on WMP  7?

In OS 8/9, go to HD/System Folder/Preferences/, and delete the "Windows
Media Player Prefs" file.

In OS X, delete the file with the same name from HD/Users/<Your
User>/Library/Preferences/.
