Mac Forum / Applications / Media Player / January 2005Having trouble with WMV files for Mac
I recently helped a friend install WMP 7.1 for Mac OS 8.6 ... when we try to view a webpage with a .wmv video we get a whole bunch of gobbly-gook. I haven't used this version for wuite a while, but this tells me the proper MIME types are not registered in the Internet Config Database. One option would be to reinstall (all browsers not running) and hope that this time the proper settings will be saved.
