.sitx file format: compressed or not

After having downloade the WMP ( for MAc OSX, I get the notification,
that the file with suffix .sitx does not appear to be compressed or
encoded. It is advised to get more information about the contents of
the file. What is wrong?

You need at least version 7 of StuffIt Expander to handle .sitx
files. (Actually, the latest version is 9.0.1 for OS X 10.3 and 8.0.2
for OS X 10.1.5-10.2.8)
