It means your browser doesn't acknowledge that the associated file type
should be opened in the WMP plug-in.

Try downloading the file in the Finder, do command-i on it to select
what application to open it with. Chose WMP and apply to all. Then you
should be able to open the file in WMP by double-clicking it. Does it
work ??

What do you mean no luck ?? You mean you can't even open the files you
downloaded in WMP or that clicking on links the streams don;t open
directly through the WMP plug-in ??

Maybe the file type has not been properly set in the Internet Config
database for WMP. You can manually enter them all through Internet
Explorer (it will write it in the Internet Config Database for all
browsers).
You can find informations about these MIME types there:
http://www.cortig.net/wordpress/index.php?p=4
(I'll make a better page as soon as I have time... which means no any
time soon :-\ ).
