THat type of error mesasge is not very informative... Can you find out
what codec has been used for these files ?? It might be unsoupported on
the Mac.

how can I find the codec? I agree that the error message doesn't give us
much information to go on or the information that you get on the Windows
Platform.

There are two options that I can think of:
- ask the people who sent the file (or made them). I'm not trying to be
sarcastic, but the Windows version of WMP should be able to open then
and you should be able to display the information from there.
- try opening the files in VLC and then press command-i to display the
information about the file,

VLC manages to open A LOT of formats including many WM files.
