I am using a Dell Poweredge 860 with server 2k3 as  a media server, in the
server management section I have added the Streaming Media Server role.  When
I first set the server up it would stream and play wmv and asf files.  Since
running windows update the server will no longer stream or play asf files.
It will still stream and play wmv files OK.  When I use the Windows Media
Services source testing tool I get an error stating that;

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the server is not
available (for example, the server is busy or not online).

I have deleted and recreated the publishing points for the files, I have
tried using different clips but with no success

Does anyone know what may have caused this?

Thanks in advance.

Hum, this is the group for the Mac version of WMP. You might to
consider reposting on one of the regular WMP groups,
