Well it looks like you are referring to the Windows version of WMP
(there is no WMP 10 for Mac and you posted in the group for the Mac
version).
I know very little about the Windows version (so you might want to
consider reposting in one of the regular WMP groups), but I believe
that the latest version is WMP 11... I would consider completely
uninstalling WMP 10 and installing WMP 11 instead (unless there is a
good reason why you want to use WMP 10).

The minute I try to get the Media Player up, it shuts down. Cant get it to
ever work on my Mac, though I uninstalled and reinstalled it twice.

Probaly a corrupted pref. THough is there any reason why you are not
using the (free) WMP codecs for QuickTime?? It's made by Flip4Mac and
now distributed by MS themselves. It works tremendously better than the
obsolete and abandonned WMP.
