i'm using wmp11 and ripping to wma format. it never took more than 4-5
minutes to rip a cd but now it takes almost 15-20 minutes. what can i do to
speed up the process and why is this happening in the 1st place?

Mac? You are talking MAC address, right? I have the same problem, accept
anything with an apple logo that is unfortunate to get past my door is
smashed; i dont use thier junk.

Now, on to the issue at hand, has anyone for a resolution to this?

I sure am not. I would have written MAC,
Mac here is short for Macintosh. This group is for the Macintosh version
of Windows Media Player.

Well that's fine with me :-)  It's *your* decision and I respect it.
I just happen to have made a different one.
