I have a eMac desktop 1 Ghz PowerPC G4 running OS10.2.8. . I was not able to play video attachments (.wmv files) sent via e_mail. I downloaded Windows Media Player 9 for Mac, however I still get the same message as before: "Windows Media Player cannot play this file, because the Player does not support this file format" Why does the documentation say that it does. Is there any other S/W that I > can get that will? If you read the page Neil mentioned you will see that the documentation say that some codecs (and definitively not all) are supported. I'd like to add that the app has been simply and purely abandonned by MS a little while ago now. You can try using the Flip4Mac WMV codecs for QuickTime. They have a better support than WMP (and they are also free) - but I don;t know for sure whether 10.2.8 is still supported.
