I have recently taken a couple of short videos with a digital camera.
Foolishly (?), I turned the camera 45 degrees when shooting it.
Is it possible to rotate the video screen on Media Player so I can enjoy the
clip the correct way without straining my neck?!
Many thanks

Many people here post about media player for PC. The virtualdub
program which runs on PC can rotate AVI videos, there's a filter
available for 90º either way, 180º or arbitrary angle
http://www.virtualdub.org/
If you're on a Mac, I seem to remember Quicktime on Mac can rotate too
when saving out to a new file.

the system preferences??

you can also save time by using windows movie maker but you can only rotate
it 90*

Windows movie maker doesn't run on a Mac unless you have a dual boot
with XP. Sorta obvious, since it's "windows" movie maker.

Thanks Neil.
Thanks to your advice, I rotated the video clip quite easily. BUT, although
the rotated clips (now avi file) open up OK on my laptop with Media Player
and Realplayer, Gmail will not send them as attachments (Error code 008). I
have
now transferred all picture files to Picasa. However, they only
email as a single photograph, not a video clip.
More help, please!
Many thanks.

You should speak to GMail support on that issue, I've no idea because
I don't have an account on that service. It's not clear either what
Picasa is or what role you're expecting it to play here ;-)
