headset & mouse interference

When I play a playlist from my library using a USB stereo headset, and also
use my mouse (optical wheel mouse) I often get static interference over the
headset. Mouse is also usb connected.No problem when playing over speakers.
Have tried changing the relative usb slots for mouse & headset etc but no
difference.
Any ideas?

You play a playlist from what app?? (WMP for Mac doesn't really support
playlists).
