When I try to burn an unprotected CD, either before or after I put a new CD
in the drive, I get a statement, burn will start automatically. It does not
start at all. If I then, click "burn "again, I get another window stating
Drag to Disk - Recorder is busy, please try again.

I have Roxio 9 in the computer. Roxio works in all manners independently,
including burning a audio file from Windows Explorer. I just won't work out
of WMP11.

You're in the wrong newsgroup then. This is the newsgroup for the Mac
version of WMP.
You should probably repost in the regular WMP newsgroup to find a better
answer :-\
