Putting a Voice Recording on CD

I recorded a brief voice message of about 6 minutes on an Olympus Digital
Voice Recorder and downloaded it to my Mac Powerbook. It plays fine on the
computer in Windowns Media Player 9 for Mac OS X. But when I transferred it
to a CD-R and burned it, nothing happened when I put the disc in an ordinary
CD player and play it.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Though you can use a free app like Switch to convert the file to either
mp3 or AAC and then use iTunes to burn it.
