Hello,
About a month ago my WMP 10 stopped playing the video portion when
connecting and playing media from the internet (ie. mpegs). It does play the
sound portion. Coincidentally this is exactly the time when I installed (by
default!) Quicktime 7.1.3
Specifically I noticed that it's taking longer to connect (I have a 5 mbps
connection), and it is NOT "buffering" at all, and it goes into "playing"
with only the first frame of the file, just frozen there.
I have NO problem playing back video from my computer or CDs.
I rolled back to WMP 9, same problem, I installed WMP 10 again, same problem.
Interestingly, Real Player and Quicktime play the files with no problem.
Any suggestions? Thank you!
(I have XP SP2)

That's because it doesn't run on MacOS X ;-))
(you're in the wrong newsgroup - this newsgroup is for the Mac version
of WMP).
