When I try to play either wav or midi files in WMP v.10 or WMP v.11 I receive
the following message:
"Cannot play the file, the player might not support the file type or might
not support the codec that was used to compress the file".
1. Both WMP v.10 or WMP v.11 are configured to play all file types.
1. There is no problem in playing Audio CDs or DVDs in WMP v.10 or WMP v.11.
3. The wav or midi files are played without any problem with Real Player.

I have checked and re-checked the tools/option/file types to find that both
files were checked and yet the same message appeared.
My OS is WindowXP SP2 and the Sound Card is Soundblaster Live !.
Please help

THe error message you should receive is "WMP 10 or 11 don;t exist fir
the Mac platform. These applications are not meant to be run from a Mac"
;-)))

All jokes aside: you posted in the wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is
for the Mac version of WMP.
