Hey everyone I cant play clips on the net. for example at break.comjust a
white bos with a x in the top corner apears in place of the clip.
Any help would be appreciated

Does this only affect windows media videos, or any type of video ? For
example YouTube use Flash video, if that's broken too then there may
be a common cause.

If you go to your (IE ?) browser, and them menu, choose
Tools -> Internet Options -> Delete Cookies.

Now going back to Break.com you should be asked when viewing a video,
whether you prefer Flash or Windows Media. Choose windows media at
this point so we can check out what's up.

I'm trying to work out if it's a problem with your browser settings
being too restrictive - is this a work computer perhaps, where the
system admin has "locked down" the capability to play back video in a
web page ?

As I don't know which browser you're using, or if the video is WMP or
Flash, I'd be fishing in the dark until you can provide more details.
