Please help.   I am trying to connect to online radio via windows media, and
get "problems connecting to...".  I have dial up on a 2 year old gateway that
is more than capable of surfing the web and playing tunes simultaneously.
Thanks for any advice.

This is a group for media player on the Mac, hence the title.

Probably you meant to post to the newsgroup :
microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player

That one deals with WMP on PC's which I assume you meant by "gateway"
rarther than a residential gateway device like a router or switch.

You would be helped on that newsgroup if you can post which version of
media player you have, as well as the name and best of all, the web
address of the radio station you're trying to reach (as it could
simply be offline).

In the meantime, check the setting in WMP menu File -> Work Offline,
which should not be ticked. Oh, and mention if you have IE7 Beta as
well when you post there.

Cheers - Neil
