I am using a new dual-core MacBook amd when I try to launch WMP from a web
page I get the "missing plug-in is needed" message and am unable to run the
player. Search for plug-in comes up empty and Flip for Mac doesn't work.
Anyone have any suggestions?

What do you mean Flip4Mac doesn't work?? What's wrong with it??
That's the only solution that will be Universal Binary (WMP9 has been
dropped by MS), so it would be your best hope for a MacBook,.

I have been having the same problem with my macbook.  I'm trying to watch
videos on mozilla, but it would work.  Does anyone have a solution?

The message you're replying to is too old to be on the server I use for
newsgroups. Could you please give us more details??
- What application are you using (WMP9 or Flip4Mac codecs)
- What Mozilla browser and what version? (eg: Firefox 2.0)
- what version of the System (though if you say MacBook, it's probably
10.4.x).

With a MacBook, you either need to use WMP9 (yuk!) with a browser in
Rosetta, or the Flip4Mac WMV codecs and a browser supporting the
QuickTime internet plug-in and running natively (eg: Safari, OmniWeb,
FireFox 2.0....).
