every time I try to open a wmv, the windows media player logo pops up in the dock, bounces a few times, and then shuts down...i can't even open it! This happens with all videos I try to open with windows media. Have you tried any of the tricks mentioned in the WMP FAQ: http://www.cortig.net/wordpress/?page_id=30 In any case, you could also try to use the Flip4Mac Windows Media codecs for Quicktime.
