I have some .wmv files that I'd like to view on my Mac (8.6) I recently
downloaded WMP 7, but when I try to open the .wmv files, I get this "channel
does not support the stream format" message.

What's the problem??? How can I play these .wmv files on  my Mac???

The problem is probably that the version of WMP you have simply does not
have the capacity to decode the file format used to make the file you
are trying to view. There is probably no workaround for you :-\
