I have an intel mac with WMP 9.0.0. On several websites, such as MSNBC, CNN,
when I click on the video links, message appears that the version 9 plug in
is not found and directs me to download it. On other sites, the player works
fine.

Does anyone else experience this? Any help to solve this problem is much
appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, some sites use ActiveX controls and since it is not supported on
the Mac, they fail to see that you have WMP9. There is nothing you can
do then.
MSNBC doesn't even ask me for WMP9, they require v10...

Unfortunately, I'm not even sure a solution *can* be found. There is
somply no browser with ActiveX support on MacOS X and they are probably
using WMP10-only features...

I just tried and it doesn't work. The extension installs, then
disappears from the list almost immediately because it is not supported
