wmv and WMP

Prior to reinstalling WMP recently, I was able to view and hear email
attachment wmv's. Fragmented at best, but better than nothing. Now I can
not open any of them. A clear wmv document is displayed in the email
attachment window but when opened I receive a message "Application program
can not be found" and occasionally (cannot translate due to unexpected error
-2003) --- is there really an expected error?
OS 9.2.1 on 233iMac G3
Any tips?

???? You mean you didn't have WMP or Flip4Mac and you could play wmv's
attachments in your mail client ??? What mail client were you using ??

I wold reisntall WMP for MacOS 9 (version 7.something I believe). You
should consider rebuilding the desktop as well (hold down command and
alt during startup until you get the message).
