Can't Install WMP on Mac OS X 10.4.2

Everytime I attempt to install media player it says that no software can be
found to open it with. Shouldn't it just install? Why is it so hard to get
something so simple to work?

If you're talking about the .sitx file, note that you need StuffIt Expander
(free) to open it.

You might want to try dragging the icon onto the StuffIt Expander
application icon.
