It's obvious from the many, many posts, (including mine) that there is
something seriously wrong with WMP for Mac, and someone at Microsuck
needs to get on it and fix the d@mn problem!!
My iBook is 2 months old, and I haven't had any unfixable problems with
any software yet, other than this WMP piece of cr@p. I have reinstalled
it several times, to no avail.
I am able to watch the sample, and open downloaded files, but I cannot
open any streaming links in my browser (Safari). When i try to open a
link in Firefox, I get the same messade as other users: Additional
plug-in is required, and it sends me to the microsuck site to download
the player, even though it's already installed!

I'm not surprised it doesn't work; even the new XBox 360 has bugs that
should have been fixed before its release!

I am SO glad I switched to Mac 2 months ago!!!

Since I don;t believe they read this newsgroup, you should go on their
site and post a request. I'd try to politely ask them to do something
about this #%$^#$$ software since I suspect they'd simply trash any
e-mail that's state things a little to aggressively ;-)

Well this one does not sound like any of the known bugs... It's just
that the codecs used on the file you are trying to read are simply not
supported on Mac OS...
