I have a question and i don't even know how to start asking it. but
i'll try.

I connected my PC (with matrox card) to a TV Monitor for playing a live

music channel.
We used to play those video clips (WMV) using Windows Media Player.

while watching the monitor we've noticed that after every Video Clip,
and before the next one starts there was 1 second that we could see the

desktop of the PC, like instead of a black screen between the clips it
appears as the Media Player Lost The Video Signal.

after consulting a pro, he told us to use VLC player, and the VLC
Player actually solved this problem, and between two clips we got a
black screen instead of seeing the desktop of the Playing PC.

it was very good until the VLC Player started to crash after 3 hours of

playing.

And Now For the questions:

1) Is there a way to stop the VLC player from crashing (and yes' i
already deleted the prefrences)
2) what is the solution in the VLC player that solves My problem? so in

VLC i can see black screen between two clips?
3) does anyone familier with other players that has black or blank
screen between two clips.

Thanks

I suspect you posted in the wrong newsgroup since you mention that you
are using a PC, but since we also have VLC on MacOS X I'll try to answer
some of your questions:

> 1) Is there a way to stop the VLC player from crashing (and yes' i
> already deleted the prefrences)

Do you have VLC 0.8.4 ?? Since it might be a but in the app, you might
be interested in trying some of the betas of 0.8.5 (
http://nightlies.videolan.org/ ). They also have a pretty good support
newsgroup on their site. You should give it a try.

No idea... It might just be the default behavior for playlists in VLC.
