I searched the web for an answer to this problem to no avail.
Microsoft's Knowledge Base didn't have anything either. When I view
movies in Windows Media Player 9 for OS X a strange thing happens; when
the window is in the foreground (ie: it is selected) the playback is
smooth, however when I change the focus to another application the
frame rate is reduced to about 5 frames per second. My computer is
not dropping frames, I have 90% idle CPU. Is this some sort of bug ?
If so, is there a workaround ?
Here are the specs for my machine:
iBook G4 1 GHz, 768MB RAM, 32MB ATI GPU, etc.
I also tried it on a dual processor PowerMac G5, with exactly the same
results.
Thanks,
Roman
