Imposible to open windos media player

Hi there,
I recently upgrade to MAC OSX 10,4,2 and then have  to upgrade  the
Windows Media player to version 9,0, since then I can not open the
application , The following message come out after trying to open it:
"The application Windows Media Player has been closed suddenly"

Can somebody help me on this matter?

Hey man,  I'm having the same problem, same message.  It quit and won't
reopen, did you get any good suggestions to fix it?

Try trashing the pref file and .plist for WMP. Repairing the permissions
on the drive also often helps. You can find more instructions in the
FAQ.
