This problem just started in the past day or so.  The program shows up in the
dock when I launch it, but it just bounces around and does nothing.  It then
will stop bouncing like it has opened up, but I click it and nothing happens.
I try and drag it out of the task bar, but it pops back.  Also when I am in
Safari and try to launch a page with media on it, Safari freezes up.  What
can I do to fix this problem?

Try repairing Permissions (use Disk Utility) on the Mac and reboot. It
might help (and it can't hurt ;-) ),
