One of my clients has an issue where Files (Quark so far) are not visible to
the Macs on the network. As soon as the file is renamed, it appears again.
The files reside on a Windows 2000 server running File Services for Mac.
Today the server blue- screened with the following error:

STOP:  0x000000050 (0xFC270534, 0x00000000, 0xF3907804, 0x00000000)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA

**** Address F3907804 base at F38F3000, DateStamp 3d7d3925 - sfmsrv.sys

This is the file server driver for Mac.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi Chris!

I would suggest, after a thorough backup, that you uninstall File
Services for Macintosh, reboot and then reinstall File Services for
Macintosh. This will hopefully clean up any issues that the services may
be having. Also, be sure your server's service packs and security
patches are up-to-date as well.

I also encourage that you look into forgoing SFM for either ExtremeZ-IP
from http://www.grouplogic.com or Dave/ADMitMac from
http://www.thursby.com. SFM's version of AFP is 2.2, which is very
outdated compared to Mac OS X's current 3.2. With either of these
solutions you'll get longer file name support and Active Directory
integration as well as great support from their developers.

Hope this helps! bill

Thanks Bill, I'll give it a shot.
