All of a sudden, my windows updates all fail in VPC 6.1.1. I have 2 images, an XP pro and a 98, and at the same time , they BOTH started failing. Same thing after reinstalling VPC 6.1.1 Same thing happens if I try to play any games on MSN zone (which I have been doing for a long time). Now, the zone fails to load and can't install update files. I am on Mac OSX 10.3.5. What the heck is going on??????? Do you otherwise have internet access? Do you get an error message? Are you being redirected to a different site? Update - after reinstalling VPC 6.1 and reinstalling Win 98, I was able to run Windows updates but still get errors when going to msn.zone.com and try to install game. It seems that I cannot get some activex file installed. However, I can install say Macromedia Flash with no problem. Yes, I have internet connectivity and most everything seems ok, but this is a mystery. Now, one more important item. Last week my file permissions got screwy and I had to do an Archive and Install of Panther. However, after doing all that my zone access was ok until yesterday. Thanks for any ideas... |
