I gave up on VPC 6 on my Beige G3.  Just too slow.
Cheaper to get a used pc that upgrade my G3 mac.

How can I transfer my XP and my program files from VPC image to the Compaq?

Would the easiest way be to remove the PC drive, install it in my Mac,
format it as a PC disk and copy all the files from the image file to that
disk?

Would the Mac OS9 finder copy even the invisible files?

DiskCopy?

You can't.  If Windows XP came with VPC, its an OEM licence that is
only for VPC, its not transferable.

The media that comes with VPC isn't capable of doing a full
installation, specifically for the reason you want to.

It won't work, unless your Compaq has very similar hardware to the
emulated VPC hardware.

Thanks.  I was afraid of that.
