Hi Micheal,
Thanks for you reply.
I have an Intel based Mac. Do you know if Microsoft has plans to develop
an version of Virtual PC 7 for Intel Mac's? I personally don't like the
idea of Bootcamp, running a Microsoft product on a Apple Architecture, I
don't think that config/design will ever run very stable. It's like
buying an Audi car with an Seat engine :D.

Bootcamp is more stable than Parallels or Fusion although you can not run
windows side by side with mac os X

I'm not privy to anything Microsoft might be planning to do for Apple's
hardware. But if you think about it, VPC works by running on top of an
existing OS. On the PC, that OS is XP, so you'd have to use Bootcamp
and a commercial release of XP to run VPC. Same for the other PC-based
virtualization software, AFAIK.
VPC for Mac on PPC is a software emulator of the Intel hardware.
There's no need to do that no Intel machines. Microsoft announced they
were ending all development on the Macintosh version of VPC, so my guess
is "It's dead, Jim".
There's an application called Crossover that will allow _a very narrow
group of XP applications_ to run on MacOS X without XP. Check it out on
Versiontracker.com.
If you really need XP and MacOS X integration, buy a commercial copy of
XP ASAP while you still can. They're probably getting really expensive
on eBay. Look at Fusion or Parallels for running both systems on MacOS
X. If you need to take over the entire machine, use BootCamp. Those
are your only options currently.

Microsoft has no plans on updating Virtual PC for Intel Macs.
Apple architecture? It is standard Intel based x86 architecture now,
OEM'd by PC manufacturers. No real hardware difference from any other
x86 based system.
