How come VPC 7 will not load any of my SD cards? Will it work on VPC 6?
Fred Horvat - 11 Jul 2008 02:18 GMT
Hmm,  Maybe VPC sees them as USB devices?

1: Mount the device in OSX first
2: Start VPC
3: Go into SETTINGS for the Guest OS and turn on USB Support
4: If the the SD card shows up as a supported USB Device select it as being
available in the Guest OS by placing a check next to that device
5: Start the Guest OS and hope it works now...

I forgot to ask what version of Windows are you trying to mount the SD drive
with?  Win98 you need drivers.  Windows 2000 or above you have a better
chance with.

Ah.  The problem is 10.5.  VPC isn't really supoorted on 10.5 and
mounting devices like CDs, floppies, and SD disks doesn't work.
Microsoft won't be fixing it.

There are disk intensive work arounds but the basic problem won't be
fixed.

Try using a VPC "Shared Folder".  Twice the work but it will get you there.

How can that be done using an SD card and reader? I need the SD card
to use wii Powersaves.
Fred Horvat - 14 Jul 2008 01:10 GMT
Well I was thinking that you:

Mount the SD card under OSX
Copy the data from or to (depending on what direction) the Shared Folder in
Windows
Then finish the copy to or from the shared folder to the SD card or to
Windows

Obviously this will only work if you do not need to directly read/write to
the SD card with propriety software under Windows.
