How to "capture" contents of a non-OS drive image from W2000 to WXP in VPC 7?

I have the following:
1) W2K AND XP running under VPC 7.0.3
2) Also, I have that same W2K running under VPC 6.1.1
(I don't run these at the same time)The 6.1.1 is JUST a BU so I don't lose my precious W2K... (Over 7 years old and NEVER re-installed since VPC 4!).

I moved the "VPC List" contents to a separate Volume on my Tiger HD (10.4.11) PPC machine.(G4) and renamed them according to the
Drive image contained. Original VPC LIST still has some aliases ... I didn't set them.

After "Converting" the VPC 6 W2K C-Drive, all went well under VPC 7 so that W2K boots fine under VPC 7.
W2K also had an E-Drive which contained Program apps AND data related to them. NO OS is in this E-Drive... just W2000 Office, Framemaker, their data, and some utility apps.
I merely selected (browsed to) the E-Drive image and made it a 'hard drive' using PC Settings for VPC 7.

ALL those W2K apps work FINE under VPC 7 and NO CONVERT was attempted on the E-Drive. I *assume* the VPC convert is for OS images only...?

Now, TMy copy of WXP-SP2 came with VPC7... and that install went fine.

My question (finally)is:

Can I 'select'(Browse to) a COPY of the E-Drive image I put in the separate volume and thereby 'Install', in WXP, those same data (programs and data) that I did in the W2000 case under VPC 7?... Again, I *assume* no 'convert' is necessary for that kind of image....

Afraid to just pop it in... Just got the WXP-SP2 OS nicely tuned under VPC7.0.3 using suggestions from previous Forum threads....

Thanx in advance for comments...

Cheers, Jim B

In my previous post I said:

"Original VPC LIST still has some aliases ... I didn't set them."

What I *should* have said is that If one MOVES the VPC List links for each Guest OS, then one MUST place aliases to point where they ARE... What a dunce I am. I haven't done much with a new VPC for 2-3 years... and am out of practice. With the 'symbolic links' then each time I boot up VPC 7 (or 6) I get the correct OSes to start...

Also what a dunce, again. In the original I asked if the Apps installed on my old W2000 image can be moved into WinXP???
I now believe I must *Install* the Apps into my new WinXP , then copy the Data over from W2K... Agree?

If no one answers to the contrary, that is what I will do next for Win XP.

Yes, you need to install the apps in the new OS, attaching a 2nd drive
image won't install anything, there will just be a a bunch of program
files on that drive.
