I seem to be confused about acquiring Virtual PC for a Mac. I can't really seem to get any solid information on Virtual PC. Is it a product you buy in the store or is it a free download? The only downloads I can find are updates. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Virtual PC for the Mac is a paid product, it can't be downloaded for
free.  It has also been discontinued by Microsoft since it is not
compatible with Intel Macs.  You're best bet it to look at smaller
software shops or eBay for a copy.

Sorry Steve,

That information is incorrect. Virtual PC for Mac is STILL available
for retail sale. Microsoft has not yet discontinued distribution of
the product.

I never said it wasn't still for sale.  It's not at most of the big
places, like MacMall, CDW, etc or it's only a license or an SA
purchase, not retail.  But, you can find it at smaller shops via
google product search.

Also, it is only for PPC Macs.  It does not work on Intel Macs.

Plus it's no good for games or other software that requires a 3D
graphics card.

I have VPC7/WinXP Pro on my G4/1.25 Tiger.
It works well, but it's slow!
