This forum is most likely the best place for your question.
RWW requires ActiveX, which has never been implemented in Mac OS X and
so it won't work on a Mac. The RDC client is the alternative.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by the new client not maximizing the
screen? It has more display capabilities than the older version. It can
go into full screen mode too. An alternative is CoRD found here
<http://cord.sourceforge.net/>.
Hope this helps!

Well there's always VNC or Timbuktu if I'm following this correctly?

VNC and Timbuktu are "remote control" applications whereas RDC is a
"remote login" application. RDC retains the login credentials of the
connecting user and when used to connect with a workstation with a
monitor attached it locks the console so that others can not view any
activity.
(When I originally posted my reply I said that this was probably the
most appropriate forum but I thought I was in microsoft.public.mac.rdc.
That would be a better newsgroup for this question but I'd assume the
same folks here monitor there as well.)
