I'm using Virtual PC 6.1 on an old PowerMac G4, MacOS 9.2.2. The
virtual machine is running Windows 2000 SP3 as installed from the VPC
CD; it's been updated to SP4 via Windows Update, plus a variety of
different security updates and what-not have been applied.

How do I enable Recovery Console?

The VPC 6 box doesn't contain an original Win2000 setup CD, so the
instructions mentioned in the Microsoft Knowledge Base don't apply. Nor
do any of the standard instructions I've been able to find.

This is unique to VPC 6, as it comes with a pre-installed OS.

AFAIK, the installation disk which is part of VPC doesn't contain any
sort of recovery facility.  That's part of the full Windows install
media.  So, if your virtual machine gets hosed, to recover, you
reinstall.

That is correct. The Windows discs included with VPC are not complete
and are missing key files that allow them to boot.
