For some reason, when I boot up VPC it presents me with the opening
setup dialog. I can still locate my old XP image, but when I try to
get VPC to boot it up, it says "No C disk is specified," and the
machine is unable to find a "proper Boot device." My Mac's hard drive
was running low on space the last time I was using VPC, almost to
zero, but I was able to shut windows down properly. Could that be the
cause? Does anyone have a possible solution? Thanks so much!

Unfortunately, the error message indicates that the boot record for
Windows is toast. If Windows came bundled with VPC, then you would
need to create a new virtual machine. If it did NOT bundle with VPC,
you could try a Repair install (but you can only do that with a
bootable Windows disk)
