Hello

I have a network problem with virtualpc
My mac is connected to internet with a dsl router wich is always on.
the router IP address is 192.168.0.1
the mac IP adress is 192.168.0.2
The mac is connected to internet, but my provider requires a MTU of
1492 instead of 1500.
On the same mac it is installed virtual pc.
I gave the pc the same gateway address, and an IP address of
192.168.0.3
I cannot connet to the internet
if I try to ping my router (start>run>cmd and then "ping 192.168.0.1")
I receive as anwser "Request Time out".
It seems to me that before understanding how to change MTU in virtual
pc (I dont have very clear this, yet), there is a problem of
connection. I would say that if I cannot ping the router, nothing is
going to work.
If I try to ping the router from my mac everything is fine.
Can anybody help?
Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I don't know much about it.

"virutal switch" is not a setting in Windows.... it is a setting in
Virtual PC (the Mac program) and must be selected in order to use the
Windows settings for the LAN you indicated you are using.

Go to PC in the Virtual PC menu bar. Select PC Settings.
Go to Networking and change to Virtual Switch and then hit the Restart
button in the bottom right
